Position Overview

As a Compliance Generalist, you will support the bank’s compliance function across a broad range of activities, ensuring adherence to Swiss regulatory requirements and international standards. This role is hands-on and versatile, covering areas such as AML, client onboarding, monitoring, regulatory reporting, and advisory to business teams. You will work closely with colleagues in risk, legal, and front office to foster a strong culture of compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct due diligence and KYC reviews for new and existing clients (private banking and corporate structures).
  • Monitor transactions and identify potential suspicious activities in line with AML regulations.
  • Provide advice and guidance to front office teams on compliance-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with Swiss regulations (FINMA, AMLA, CDB) and relevant international standards.
  • Contribute to regulatory reporting, audits, and inspections.
  • Assist in drafting and updating compliance policies, procedures, and training.
  • Support the Head of Compliance in managing compliance risks and implementing best practices.
  • Promote awareness of compliance obligations throughout the organisation.

Profile & Requirements

  • University degree in Law, Finance, or related field; compliance certifications (CAMS, DAS Compliance, or equivalent) are a strong plus.
  • 5–7 years’ experience in compliance within private banking or wealth management.
  • Solid knowledge of AML, KYC, Swiss banking regulations, and FINMA requirements.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills, with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluent in English and French; other languages (especially German or Italian) are an asset.
