Position Overview

As Financial Controller, you will play a central role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of the bank’s financial reporting and controlling processes. You will monitor financial performance, support budgeting and forecasting, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide valuable insights to senior management. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial stability and strategic decision-making of the institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting processes and ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial statements.
• Monitor and control operating expenses, revenues, and profitability across business lines.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss banking regulations (FINMA) and IFRS/Swiss GAAP standards.
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial results and present findings to management and the board.
• Collaborate with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to improving processes, systems, and internal controls within the finance function.
• Support strategic initiatives with financial insights and analysis.

Profile & Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; professional qualification (CPA, CFA, ACCA) is a strong asset.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in financial control, audit, or accounting within banking or financial services.
• Solid knowledge of Swiss regulations, FINMA requirements, and IFRS/Swiss GAAP.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in financial reporting systems and Excel.
• Fluent in English and French (both required).
